We have all heard the age old saying, for success, follow your dreams. As we hear graduation speeches, they each will say, "follow your dream". Each person in the bible had a dream to succeed with life, spirit or overall well-being. To follow your dream, one must have strength and where do you have strength when you do not have any to begin with? Well, where do you think these success stories come from when you see their photo on The Biggest Loser or PX90 or whatever, they have inner strength, something in them says, "Enough is Enough"!
Strongest people take risks, but before they take those risks, they have carefully planned or strategized their technique, plan and they all have dreams or goals. What are your goals and how will you achieve them?
I wrote out my 5-year goal plan and my 3- month, 6 month, 1 year.... and over the next 3 months, business plans were written for my life, and my business- what do I want to achieve in 3 months and how do I want to feel. Do I want to be in the same mud or do I want to feel like I just took a shower, releasing the weight off my shoulders.
In my 3 month overview, within that, how much money I am earning currently and with what I do now, how to make more money without alienating my family. But more so, who will I turn to for guidance, who will I turn to for answers. I normally, for inspiration, have people on the side for the sense of "if they can do it, so can I", people like Dani Johnson, Sylvester Stallone, NFL, UFC, Ruth, Ester, Daniel, Moses, Jacob, those who are fighters and they won't stop until they achieve it.
The number one answer is once you know the Why you want it you will find out the How to achieve it.
So, written are Why do I want to lose weight, Why do I want to get out of debt, Why do I want to be healthy, Why do I want to get off my medication... Answer those with How are you going to do it? By following that question with Where are you going to go to find the source to achieve it.
Which is really important, it will carve the pathway for your future. Do you want a Godly pathway or do you want a worldly path?
The world is created by man, a man who only has been here a short time that does not know all of life's answers but thinks he does. Where did man/woman find their information? What was their pathway and their source of life?
God, the creator of all things, hmm.... that pretty much sums it up. All throughout the bible, stories or not, they are someone's stories of guidance. What happened when they did not follow Christ and When they did follow Christ.
I will say, I fell out of the pathway of God and when I did, I found depression, mud, sticks, filth, and I felt confused and lost. When I prayed and asked God for guidance and stayed in his path, his word, his light.. just the words that describe God are a lot better than fighting something alone, being on the path alone in the woods all scared and lonely. There are too many stories of people who have had personal experiences, myself included where those have been raised from the dead, the blind healed, crippled walk, every Sunday I hear of how people survived another week because they were on the pathway of God. Regardless if you do not believe in God. What do you believe in? Is it something that can use the words like: light, good, beautiful, success, love, understanding, peace? Can you say you have peace in your life?
I can firmly say that within my 5 year plan, and I will do this - sponsor or start up 4 churches within the world and build a athletic building in particular inner cities that cater to people that can come and eat healthy, good food, I plan to build a place where people can come and receive guidance, love, peace... regardless I want others to feel they have hope to be able to "Follow Their Dream".
If you are trying to lose weight, ask yourself, Why, What will you do to achieve it, where will you get your information and How will you utilize that information to create a strong pathway to success.
Raise your level of expectancy for yourself. Know that you can do but putting your mind to the task. We tend to, when we put our heart too much into the task, we become emotionally involved and then it becomes of different intentions. Not saying don't have feeling about your dream but do keep your mind clear without being overly emotional, which can lead to obsession. Jesus in the stories, showed no emotion, instead was firm about his words, firm about his actions, and he did not sway from his path. In a very short time he has impacted every living thing since- Can you say that about yourself?
Live your for dream but more importantly, don't let anything sway you from God's goal for you. Stay in prayer, stay in thought on him. Remember this, once that dream becomes an obsession and God becomes second, you will start finding yourself going against the grain, the rapids, the hurricane. Put God first and always have time to meditate.
